Allow Me To Re-Introduce Myself....

Today is May 4, 2013 and this year is flying by.  I have kept myself busy working on so many new mixes.  I have my Taxi Cab Ride series.  For those who don't know the TCR series consists of new and forgotten music.  The mixes are a musical journey sort of like a cab ride.  You hear a variety of music listening to the radio and this is the experience I wanted to share.  I will be posting the first three mixes soon.  Oh about the radio.  Commerical radio is horrible and we all know this.  I created my own station called 109.5 and my Power Mix is crazy!  These mixes are similar to the TCR series but my focus is on the new music that I like.  I have released the first mix a couple weeks ago and the response was great!  I will be dropping the second next week so we'll see what's good.  Lastly, I am revamping my mix pages.  I plan on redesigning them so I will be posting some different mixes.  This will take awhile so please be patient.  I promise I will make it worth your wait.

You know me, you know my mutha****in name!

It's Been One...

Well, we are almost to the end of another year.  2012 has been filled with some pretty interesting music--some good, some bad, and some just plain wack as hell!  We rocked to Nicki Minaj and realized that Jay-Z is never going to retire.  We were reassured that underground hip hop still exists with the sounds of Action Bronson, Bumpy Knuckles, Craig G, and many more.  We learned that 2Chainz is a better rapper than Tity Boi ever was.  We've lost some true pioneers to the game and picked up some rappers during the past 11 months.  Anyway I did a mix of some of the songs I found myself head-nodding to.  Of course there were so many songs I could have used but I didn't want to.  I'm looking forward to 2013 just to see what hip hop will sound like cause you ain't f***** wit my clique.  Enjoy.

Don't Touch That Radio....

Since I am not posting the Party Mix yet I thought I would take it back to the old school with my Classic Hip Hop mix #2.  This is a gem just like #1 and is guaranteed to make you dust off that boom box, get 16 D batteries and hit the basketball court.  Filled with all the classic joints I know you're gonna dig this!  For tracklist email guzlthedj@gmail.com.

Abstract is the Groove!!

What's good people?  Back again are the smooth sounds of Abstract Groove by my man DJ J. Spearman.  He likes the abstract sound because it is soooo different than what the other DJ's play.  I agree.  His compilations are definitely something unique.  Kick back on a Sunday afternoon with a glass of wine and enjoy the latest installments of Abstract Groove #5, 6, 8--the special Wake Up Edition featuring the original songs The Roots/John Legend performed on their Wake Up album.  Relax.  Relate.  Guzl Up.  Peace.

It's Been A Long Time I Shouldn't Have Left You.....

What's good?  I know it's been a minute since I have posted anything but I've been busy working on some upcoming projects (Construction Paper by G14 Classified Media, MOMENTUM. by Realizm Eternal, The Velocity Project, mixes).  But I took some time to post (3) podcasts I found on my hard drive and (1) brand new one.  Each podcast features the best in hip hop with more artists than I've got room to list.  I promise you---if you are a fan of hip hop then THE OFFICIAL NOISEMAKER PODCAST is for you.  Hit me up at guzlup@yahoo.com.  Download today and GUZL UP!  Peace.

Relax During The Traffic Jam

I don't like listening to the radio so I put together a series called Traffic Jams.  This features some of the best in R & B and hip hop music--commercial free.  I have posted (2) volumes right now but with summer right around the corner look for more good music!
